Making Jesus Non-Ignorable in Loup City, Nebraska

The leadership of Calvary Loup City is excited about the work the Lord is doing in and through His church to reach the lost with the message of the Gospel and to make Jesus non-ignorable in Loup City, Sherman county and to the ends of the earth!

Originally planted in 1984 as Grace Bible Fellowship with approximately 12 members, the church was planted with a deep conviction that the people in Loup City and the surrounding area were in desperate need of Christ. In July 2022 the congregation courageously voted to replant with the Calvary Family of Churches with Calvary Kearney serving as its sending church. Loup City called Ryan Durham to serve as the replanting pastor. Ryan is joined at Loup City by his wife Brandi and daughter Eternity.

Loup City offers Sunday School on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. and a worship service beginning at 11 a.m. There is a youth ministry gathering at 6 p.m., Wednesdays, followed by an adult time of fellowship and study at 7 p.m.

We would honored to have you join us as we seek to worship the Lord together while growing together as a community of believers all with the same heart and mind to reach the lost and bring God glory!

WHY REPLANTING?

Because God is not done with dying churches!

In Matthew 16, Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail against His church. This truth about the universal church is made visible in the establishment, growth and sustainment of local churches. In light of this, we believe God loves to revitalize dying churches!

Many churches that were once dwindling, are now becoming healthy again, engaging their communities, and reaching the lost with the power of Christ in new and exciting ways. Children’s Sunday School classrooms that had been empty for years are now filled with laughter and singing from little ones each and every Sunday morning. Baptism tanks that had been dry and unused for years are now being filled regularly as lost men and women experience new life in Jesus! Neighborhoods that for years had not even taken notice or cared that a church had been there, are now taking notice, as churches impact them in countless ways through new outreach ministries that make a real difference in the community.

The Lord is doing this kind of revitalization and replanting work all over our country and world for His glory and the joy of His Church!
